  2. What I collectOnly what you give me: your name, email, organisation, phone number and event or training details when you send an enquiry; your first name and email when you pre-order the book; and anything you write in the feedback form I share (by QR code or link) at my talks and training sessions.
  3. Why I use itTo reply to your enquiry, prepare a proposal and deliver what you've booked; to tell you when the book you reserved is ready; and to improve my talks and training. I rely on your request (taking steps to enter a contract) and my legitimate interest in running the business. I never sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.
  4. Who else handles itTrusted services that help me run the business: Netlify (website and forms), Microsoft 365 (email) and Square (payments). Square processes card payments directly; I never see or store your card details.
  5. How long I keep itEnquiries that don't lead to a booking: up to 2 years. Booking and invoice records: 6 years, as UK tax law requires. Book pre-orders: until the book is released, plus 12 months.
  6. CookiesThis website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies.
  7. Your rightsYou can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to how I use it, at any time: email hello@shabinaahmed.com. If you're unhappy with how I've handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
