Privacy notice
What I collect, why, and your rights. In plain English.
- Who I amThis website is run by me, Shabina Ahmed, a speaker, trainer and author based in London. For anything about your information, email hello@shabinaahmed.com.
- What I collectOnly what you give me: your name, email, organisation, phone number and event or training details when you send an enquiry; your first name and email when you pre-order the book; and anything you write in the feedback form I share (by QR code or link) at my talks and training sessions.
- Why I use itTo reply to your enquiry, prepare a proposal and deliver what you've booked; to tell you when the book you reserved is ready; and to improve my talks and training. I rely on your request (taking steps to enter a contract) and my legitimate interest in running the business. I never sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.
- Who else handles itTrusted services that help me run the business: Netlify (website and forms), Microsoft 365 (email) and Square (payments). Square processes card payments directly; I never see or store your card details.
- How long I keep itEnquiries that don't lead to a booking: up to 2 years. Booking and invoice records: 6 years, as UK tax law requires. Book pre-orders: until the book is released, plus 12 months.
- CookiesThis website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies.
- Your rightsYou can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to how I use it, at any time: email hello@shabinaahmed.com. If you're unhappy with how I've handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
- ChangesI'll update this notice if anything changes. Last updated: October 2026.
